Culichitown

In 2017, I moved to Culiacán, Sinaloa. This allowed me the opportunity to establish personal connections with some of the women featured in Chulada, including Claudia Ochoa Félix—one of the most prominent buchonas in the world.

The Culichitown edition is composed of live portraits, taken with the consent and participation of the women portrayed, as well as images they themselves uploaded to social media—prioritizing those that reveal the settings in which they live, pose, or project their imagination.

This second mock-up includes 96 pages and measures 19 x 14.5 cm.
